Here’s the bet the Braves and Phillies made before Saturday’s Falcons-Eagles playoff game

Before Saturday evening’s NFC Divisional Round showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles, the Twitter accounts of the Braves and Phillies decided to add a little extra incentive for both cities’ football teams to win.

The two MLB franchises threw down a food bet and agreed that whoever won would receive a food item iconic to the losing team’s city. The Phillies were the first to mention the bet, and the Braves quickly agreed.

Atlanta’s baseball team quickly offered up Chick-Fil-A, to which the Phillies’ account agreed. The Eagles won 15-10 to advance to the NFC Championship game, so Chick-Fil-A it is.

Of course, they’ll have to stifle their craving for a day, since Chick-Fil-A is, well, you know. Closed On Sunday.

However, the Phillies never publicly declared which food they’d send to Atlanta if the Falcons won, so perhaps the Braves should try to escape this bet on a technicality.

The smart money’s on cheesesteaks, but since the Falcons came up two yards short of the end zone at the end of the game, we’ll probably never know.
