Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so it’s time to get those reservations called in if you’re going to get a table for the big night.
Atlanta has become such a wonderful town for dining out, and since it’s a special occasion, take advantage of all the great restaurants our city has to offer. It’s the perfect excuse to explore the food in a new neighborhood, especially if you haven’t ventured out of your comfort zone in a while.
Here are eight ideas to help get your Valentine’s Day planning started.
Polaris – Downtown Atlanta
It’s hard to go wrong with a 360-degree rotating view of the city. Polaris is offering a special menu Friday through Sunday to celebrate Valentine’s Day, serving up four courses for $75 a person. If you also want wine and champagne pairings, add $25. To see the menu that will be offered this weekend, check out the restaurant’s website.
Cooks & Soldiers – Westside Atlanta
This Basque-inspired restaurant has quickly risen the ranks to become one of the best Atlanta has to offer, and if you’ve been waiting for the perfect occasion to try it out, now’s the time. Whether you’re sharing small plates or big, Cooks & Soldiers has something for every couple looking to enjoy a delicious meal on a special night.
Double Zero Napoletana – Sandy Springs
Trust me when I say this is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, and this is far more than just a pizzeria. Double Zero offers all kinds of Southern Italian food on its stellar menu, and this weekend, there will also be an optional prix fixe menu. For $49 per person, diners can enjoy a fantastic three-course meal; check out their website for more details.
The Iberian Pig – Decatur
Decatur is loaded with awesome eateries, and the Iberian Pig shouldn’t be forgotten. You can find it right on the Decatur Square in a perfect spot for a romantic walk after a wonderful meal. A modern Spanish restaurant, the Iberian Pig will offer its usual menu of highly enjoyable tapas you won’t soon forget.
Southern Art – Buckhead
If the occasion is a little fancier, InterContinental Buckhead has a Romance Package that may interest you. You can spend the weekend getting pampered with bae, enjoying all of the luxury accommodations at the hotel, and to cap it all off, you’ll feast on a breakfast for two at celebrity chef Art Smith’s Southern Art restaurant.
Lure – Midtown Atlanta
I’m a huge fan of Fifth Group restaurants, and Lure is no exception. Located on Crescent Avenue in the heart of Midtown, Lure offers great surf and turf. This Valentine’s Day, they’re offering a special deal for couples: a bone-in ribeye for two with sides, plus a special dessert.
Eclipse di Luna – Buckhead, Dunwoody
Voted “Best Tapas” by Creative Loafing 15 years in a row, you’ll find a slew of amazing tapas at either of this restaurant’s locations. On Valentine’s Weekend, they’ll offer the regular menu of tapas as well as a few special additions. So even if you’re a regular customer, you’re bound to find something new this weekend.
Shake Shack – Buckhead
OK, so you’re a more casual couple, or you’re just looking for a slightly less fancy option. How could you go wrong with burgers, fries and milkshakes? If you haven’t been to Shake Shack yet, it’s time you made a trip. Don’t be shy – just because it’s a big weekend doesn’t mean you can’t attack a few hamburgers. And if you go on Valentine’s Day, shakes are buy one, get one free.
