The future home of the Atlanta Falcons is taking shape.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be ready for football in the late-summer of 2017, and in recent weeks, construction on the retractable roof has begun. It will be a long process to get that complex, elaborate roof built, but it’s going to be a beauty.

According to the stadium’s website, the first steel truss that will form the roof was installed in November. The truss weighs more than 1 million pounds, the website added.
This week, the Falcons released a drone video of the stadium, showing the progress in constructing the building so far. Check out the footage:
