Back in the day, pregame fights between Florida State and Miami were among the most legendary in college football.
Now, they’re … a little less intense.
Before Saturday night’s game between the Seminoles and Hurricanes, FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo was warming up, and Miami’s players apparently felt he was on the wrong side of the field. So instead of telling a coach to possibly get the mistake corrected, they took matters into their own hands.
Yeah, get that kicker, guys.
As it turns out, Aguayo’s three field goals were the difference in the game, as the ‘Noles won by just five points, 29-24. I guess that means the bullying didn’t work.
Florida State has now won six consecutive games over Miami and 34 of their last 35 overall.
