The Atlanta Braves have started the season in first place yet again. This time, they have their starting pitchers to thank.
Even as they’re getting one, maybe two runs of support per outing, these guys are winning games. With several of their best arms on the disabled list, they’re still dominating.
Currently, the Braves have pitchers ranked No. 1, 2, 8 and 10 in the National League in Earned Run Average, as you can see in the photo below. No Braves starter has allowed more than three earned runs in an outing so far this year.
That’s 21 consecutive solid starts. These guys simply don’t have an off-night.
When I saw the NL ERA stats Thursday morning, I had a “Grandma’s Boy” moment:
Keep it up, guys. This kind of dominance is a lot of fun to watch.
