Pizza and chicken wings have always been a match made in heaven, and it looks like they just had a baby.
Judge if you must, but I’m pretty excited for the opening of Calypso Wings, a new joint that is slated to open in late-summer or early-fall somewhere in Atlanta, because of one menu item in particular. This week, they began to mention a menu item called the Pa’Zing — a greasy, sloppy mixture of chicken wings and pizza. They’re beginning to populate their Facebook fan page with images of what this delectable creation will look like, and I have to admit, I’m very intrigued.
Why go to two boxes to get the same meal when you can pick it up and have pizza and wings at the same time?
Eater Atlanta says there will be other wacky wing flavors on the menu, like mojito, PB&J and some kind of Red Stripe-inspired BBQ sauce. It should be quite the establishment.
I might make my own Pa’Zings at home before Calypso Wings even opens.
What about you? Are you thinking an order or Pa’Zings will be a worthwhile decision, or would you steer clear of the newest culinary invention and opt for a more mainstream flavor?
